Mortal Kombat X came out on top of sales for April, according to the NPD Group. It managed to beat out Grand Theft Auto V, which held the number 2 spot on NPD's list.
According to the NPD Group, if the top 10 software list was ranked on a SKU basis rather than a title basis, Bloodborne, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, and Mario Party 10 would have made the list.
The top 10 selling games for the month of April were:
- Mortal Kombat X (PS4, Xbox One)
- Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- Battlefield Hardline (PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
- MLB 15: The Show (PS4, PS3)
