We know that Verizon has been working with Qualcomm to test LTE-U service in the United States and today we learn that Samsung is also working with them by creating small cells that help facilitate the LTE-U service. The Samsung LTE-U eFemto cell will use Qualcomm’s FSM9955 chipset and the cell can also support LTE Licensed-Assisted Access (LAA) by a simple software upgrade.
