Samsung has just announced they are mass producing the industry’s first 256GB UFS 2.0 chips for high-end mobile devices. The company did something similar last year when it announced the industry’s first 128GB UFS 2.0 chips and they used them in the Galaxy S6. It’s unclear if Samsung will release a 256GB model of the Galaxy S7 (or maybe the Note 6), but they could if they wanted to.
