The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are scheduled for launch on Sunday, 21st January, but doesn’t stop the leaks from flowing. Notable leaker Evan Blass aka @evleaks took to Twitter to give us what may be our best and cleanest look at the Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship duo so far, in the form of leaked press renders.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look!
First up, is the Samsung Galaxy S7, gracing us in Gold and Black Colors.
Next is the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, coming in one additional Silver-Gray color.
The renders confirm the design language that we will be seeing on the phones, as well as the color options that will be available on launch. There’s no word on additional colors, but we can be sure that Samsung will launch these in other colors as well (as they have done in the past), based on market response and customer expectation.
The renders also do not lend us any info on the dimensions or the spec size of the devices, so they cannot be used to compare the device size. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be sporting a smaller 5.2″ display, while the Edge variant will have a 5.5″ display, so device dimensions will likely be different.
In addition to these, we also have leaked live images of the Galaxy S7 in Black color.
The S7 Edge does look black instead of the blue-black that Samsung usually opts for. The phone is covered in fingerprints from top to bottom, which is not very flattering as it exposes a common annoyance with glass builds. Nonetheless, the images line up perfectly with everything we’ve known about the phone so far, and I’m sure a piece of cloth could polish that into a thing of beauty.
The countdown to MWC has begun, so we can expect for more, and better, images to flow before the official launch. Also stay tuned for our MWC 2016 coverage!
