Screenshot Assistant lets you Take, Crop, and Share Screenshots from the Home Button

For those of you on who frequently take and share screenshots on our forums or on social media, you may find that the default action taken after taking a screenshot is limited. This is true for users on stock, or close to stock, software such as on the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. In a previous APK teardown, we found that the Google App was preparing to add screenshot crop/edit support, but we haven’t seen this feature materialize just yet.

If you want a quick solution to taking, cropping, then sharing your screenshots, then check out the Screenshot Assistant app by XDA Junior Member PanWasky. This free app replaces the long-press home button action on your Android 6.0+ device to allow you to take and share your edited screenshots.
