Yesterday, Xiaomi announced on its official MIUI forum that the MIUI 8.2 Global Stable ROM has started rolling out for supported Xiaomi devices. Unlike developer or beta ROMs, the Global Stable ROM will automatically be rolled out to every supported device in the coming days via an over-the-air update.
In the first batch, the MIUI 8.2 ROM is set to roll out for the following devices: the Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 4G, with other devices to receive the update at a later time. But these other devices won’t have to wait long as Xiaomi will start rolling out the update starting February 20. That batch will include the Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 3 (Qualcomm variant), Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 4 (MTK variant), Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Mi 2/2S, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 3/Prime, Redmi 3S/Prime and Redmi Note 4 (Qualcomm).
